Using crops for biogas production
Crops are excellent material from which to produce biogas and a wide range of crops can be used. Some farmers chose to produce crops specifically for their biogas plant while others use whatever leftovers they have from their existing crop farming often in combination with manure.

Produce green energy and increase your profit
The produced biogas is usually burned in a gas engine to produce green power, which can be sold. The biogas plant can become an extra source of income for your farming business.

Heat is also produced from the gas engine which can be used for nearby housing or other premises, enabling the heating costs to be cut. Alternatively the heat could be sold locally.
