Grøngas A/S has had a new engine

The biogas plant Grøngas A/S, which is situated in the northern part of Denmark, has had a new engine because it turned out that the biogas plant could produce more than it should. The size of the new engine is 1400kW which means that Grøngas is able to produce twice as much as before. The old engine had a size of 625kW and is still going to be used.

The Danish Minister for the Environment, Troels Lund Poulsen, had the honour to start the engine.

 The plant

The plant produces electricity and district heat for about 1000 consumers in a small city in the northern part of Denmark and improved manure for the farming.
