Xergi has received an order for a biogas plant capable of handling 120.000 tonnes of manure and organic waste.

The plant will deliver biogas to 3 gas engines of 3 MW electrical capacity. Xergi will also supply the overall control system.

The project is Xergi's first in Belgium and it will thus act as a reference plant, and it is the hope of the company that this project will further spur the development of biogas projects in Belgium.

"The project confirms Xergi's position as a leading technology provider in the field of biogas. It also shows that biogas has a significant future in Belgium and we are pleased to help shape this future" says Jørgen Ballermann, Executive Director of Xergi A/S

Xergi's customer is a leading cleantech utility and is in the process of developing a number of large scale renewable energy plants in Europe.
