Biogas is an undeveloped technology!
It is a strong statement, but at Xergi we believe that the anaerobic digestion process has a great potential for improvement. As an example - only 60% of the energy in pig manure can be converted into biogas in a conventional biogas plant. Using Xergi's latest patented technology we have now increased the utilization to 72%.

System Evolution
At Xergi we are fully committed to developing biogas process technology. With our Process Research Department we seek to optimize biological processes by continuous testing of biomasses, and addressing the process limitations in order to develop next generation technology.

R&D Co-operation
Xergi works closely with leading research institutions and the biotechnology company Novozymes to contribute to the development of microorganisms for biogas production. We believe that microorganisms will enhance the utilization of manure and energy crops in the anaerobic digestion process.

World Class Test Plant
By building the world’s largest test facility for biogas for the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, University of Aarhus. Xergi has taken the lead in the development of biogas process technology. Read more about the test plant here.
