After receiving the order, the first phase of the project is to work out a Basic Design.

This part of the design defines the overall parameters of the project, the technical solution, specific equipment that must be included to fulfil the functional requirements, specifications for construction work, etc.

The Basic Design phase is often necessary to carry out in order to draft the documentation needed for the authorities. The information is included in the permit application for the project.

The project is detailed in more depth in the Main Design phase. Here, the pipework and electricity work are defined.

In the Detailed Design phase the plant is drawn in 3D with a high level of detail. The design is the basis for the construction at the site.

A biogas plant needs to operate optimally for many years. Changes can occur both in the composition of the feedstock, which is to be digestated, as well as in the potential to sell both energy and digestate.

This is why Xergi designs biogas plants that are robust and flexible, in regards to both input and output.
